Area 937 Community Outreach celebrates 15 years with ribbon cutting

Area 937 Community Outreach Inc., located at 8387 State Route 73, Hillsboro, celebrated 15 years of serving the community with a ribbon cutting from the Highland County Chamber of Commerce, along with family, friends, and members of the community on Monday, May 20.
Area 937 Community Outreach is a 501c3 that provides free food, clothing and daily necessities to low-income families struggling to put food on their tables. The organization relies on local businesses along with the community to help meet the needs of at-risk families in Highland and surrounding counties. Drop boxes can be found at various locations around the county.

“When DHL closed 15 years ago it became clear that there was a need in our community,” said Chuck Aurigema, President/Executive Director of Area 937 Community Outreach. “We want to thank the following organizations and businesses for their support the past 15 years: Master Provisions, Bob Evans, Hillsboro Nazarene Church, Good News Gathering Church, Southside Praise and Worship, Hillsboro Church of Christ, HCS’s Kindergarten food drive, Hillsboro Emblem Club, Hillsboro Elks Club, NCB Hillsboro branch, Peoples Bank Hillsboro branch, First State Bank Hillsboro branch, Highland Chamber of Commerce, Grow Highland County, and City of Hillsboro.”
