Join the Highland County Chamber of Commerce at the Annual STEEL Conference on Wednesday, October 14th. STEEL stands for Strengthening Together Experienced and Emerging Leaders. We are excited to welcome our keynote speaker Jess Eckstrom for the event.
Jess is a Forbes Top-Rated keynote speaker, two-time bestselling author, and founder of two seven-figure companies. Her story is one of turning frustration into inspiration, and she has built an entire career doing exactly that.
In 2012, while interning at a wish-granting organization for children with life-threatening illnesses, Jess noticed that kids losing their hair to chemotherapy wanted headbands but were only given wigs and hats. That observation sparked a $300 idea and the launch of Headbands of Hope, a company that has since donated millions of headbands to children with illnesses all over the world. The brand has grown into a global operation, partnering with the NBA and WNBA and selling in Kohl's stores nationwide.
In 2018, Jess expanded her impact by founding Mic Drop Workshop, a company dedicated to helping women share their ideas as paid public speakers and authors, because she believes the world is better when more voices are heard.
