Help Me Grow Home Visitor

HCBDD in Hillsboro is currently hiring a Home Visitor for the Help Me Grow home visitation
program in the Highland County area. The ideal candidate will reside in Highland County.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to home visitation, parent education of families
prenatal up to age five. This position provides the opportunity to work from home or from the
Highland County board office. You must be willing to visit families participating in the program
in their home. Skills/Training: Must be eligible for credentialing under DCY rules, must attend all
state mandated trainings and additional trainings as deemed appropriate by the Program
Manager.
A minimum of a high school diploma is required with relevant experience working with children
or an associate degree (bachelor’s degree preferred) in Psychology, Education, Early Childhood
Education, Social work, or another related field with experience in case management, ability to
maintain a caseload, and meet mandates and timelines.
A 180-day probation period must be completed. Individual must be able to pass BCI and FBI
criminal background checks as required by the Ohio Revised Code; pass a preemployment drug
screen, physical and TB test, and have a valid Ohio driver’s license with a clean driving record
and a satisfactory MVR CORSA score. The HCBDD is a drug-free workplace which prohibits the
