America 250 Tree Planting Ribbon Cutting

America 250 Ohio Highland County Committee celebrates with ribbon cutting
September 29, 2025 (Hillsboro, OH) – The America 250 Ohio Highland County Committee in conjunction with the Visitor’s Bureau of Highland County, Highland County Historical Society, and Highland County Board of Commissioners celebrated the kickoff for Highland County’s America 250-OH Celebration with a ribbon cutting from the Highland County Chamber of Commerce, along with family, friends, and members of the community on September 26, 2025. The event celebrated the 17 townships and the county as well as the nation’s 250 years.
 
The event produced the planting of 18 White Oak trees being planted in honor of Highland County and the 17 townships as part of the Heritage Tree Program. Plans for the county’s America 250 celebration in 2026 were also revealed.
