Main St Mercantile Co celebrates store front opening with ribbon cutting

April 9, 2025 (HILLSBORO, OH) – Main St Mercantile Co, located in Hillsboro, celebrated the grand opening of their store front with a ribbon cutting from the Highland County Chamber of Commerce, along with family, friends, and members of the community on April 4, 2025. Main St Mercantile Co is owned and operated by Ashley Mootispaw and Lisa Leininger and is located at 146 A West Main Street, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.

Main St. Mercantile Co. began with a desire for Ashley’s children to have a cleaner, non-toxic lifestyle. Her great-great-grandmother’s journals aided in the discovery of herbal wisdom and traditional remedies. Starting as The Healing Homestead, Ashley and Lisa sold products at vendor events and farmers markets, building strong connections with other local makers. Those relationships and their shared vision inspired them to create a permanent home — a hub for all things local, natural, and handmade.

Main St. Mercantile Co. would like to specially thank all their local vendors (branded and independent), Kiersten Beatty, Letty Allen, Kim Boyer and Kris Stoops, Gwen, Sherri Michael, and their incredible supporters in the medical community. They would also like to thank their family, friends, and loved ones for the help, support, and wisdom they have given. “We are so thankful for every hand, heart, and prayer that has helped build Main St. Mercantile Co. into what it is today.”

With the Grand opening of their business, Main St. Mercantile Co. has new extended hours Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm.
