The Bug House celebrates with ribbon cutting
May 26, 20225 (Hillsboro, OH) – The Bug House, located in Hillsboro, celebrated their grand opening with a ribbon cutting from the Highland County Chamber of Commerce, along with family, friends, and members of the community on May 23, 2025. The Bug House is owned and operated by Alexis Rowe and William House and is located at 144 West Main Street, Hillsboro.
The Bug House started with Alexis making shirts and developing a love and passion for it. The business began to grow and the business blossomed into what it is today. They are a boutique that specializes in women’s clothing and offers customizable graphic apparel that is made to order. They host monthly maker markets on the second Saturday of each month and often run daily deals or specials in their Facebook Group. The Bug House is open Wednesday-Saturday noon- 6pm.
Alexis says, “I can’t give enough thank you’s to my friends, fiancé, and parents! They have helped me get this space up and going by doing all of the crazy tasks I’ve put together. Also, a huge thank you to my customers, without them, we would have no need to exist!”
